Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness lived up to its name by introducing a universe that had Professor X, Mister Fantastic, and Black Bolt. Unfortunately, they all met their end by underestimating Scarlet Witch. Still, Anson Mount says this doesn't mean we've seen the last of Blackagar Boltagon as he confirms he has already discussed his character's possible Marvel Cinematic Universe return with some executives.
In The Multiverse of Madness, Doctor Strange and America Chavez end up on Earth-838 where Karl Mordo brings them to the Illuminati, a group of heroes responsible for protecting their universe from potential threats. When Strange warns them about Scarlet Witch, they refuse to believe him and are killed when she attacks their headquarters.
The Illuminati included Black Bolt as an important member and although fans were delighted to see the Inhumans character in Doctor Strange 2, his return didn't last long as he was the first to face off against Scarlet Witch. Still, Radio Times asked Anson Mount if Marvel had approached him about Blackagar Boltagon's return in the MCU and his answer is a bit complicated.

"If the answer was yes I wouldn't be able to tell you - but the answer is no, so I can. I've had some informal conversations with the powers [at] Marvel and it's a conversation, but they've got their current phase that they need to do," Mount said.
"I don't know, we'll see. I would love to jump back into the cowl and do it again. I love Black Bolt as a character," he added.
It's great that Marvel is already considering Black Bolt's possible return (perhaps in a different universe). However, as Mount pointed out, it won't be anytime soon but we're ready to wait for the Inhumans to get another shot at the MCU.
Anson Mount is currently promoting Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 which premiered on Paramount+ on June 15, 2023
