MCU’s upcoming X-Men reboot series, X-Men ‘97, recently had brand-new merch, which finally gives us a look at some of the story’s familiar villains on Disney+. It's a huge surprise for the fans, leaving them both excited and shocked!

Aside from X-Men ‘97 featuring multiple legendary villains such as Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, and many more, a couple of Mutant villains will also make an appearance in the MCU for the very first time. However, the X-Men reboot did put Mister Sinister in the spotlight as the show’s main villain.

Don’t fret, though, because these are not the only villains that will be appearing in the show. The all-time fan-favorite Magneto will also play a crucial role in the story along with the animated mutants since they have been waiting a really long time for their return to the screens.

Recently shared by Marvelous News, brand-new merchandise gave fans a look at one of the most evil X-Men ‘97 series villains - the Sentinels!

An action figure from the merch put the spotlight on the Sentinels, confirming that they will be the villains of the X-Men Reboot. The action figure is equipped with maroon-colored arms and legs and a dark blue outfit, gloves, and boots.

Dr. Bolivar Trask designed the Sentinels at first in order to hunt Mutantkind in the hopes that they would save humanity from the Mutants. Trask also created one that had the ability to create other Sentinels by itself.

The Role Of Sentinels In Disney+ X-Men Reboot

Even though there is a high chance the Sentinels will be a supporting villain in the new series, the X-Men will face many battles, considering the number of narrative threads used in the animated TV shows. The series will also take a quick trip to the previous storylines told in X-Men: The Animated Series.

All these scenarios will take place while Marvel Studios plans their own live-action ideas for future X-Men projects. With several teasers already out for plenty of the other characters highlighted in the show, the Sentinels will only add to the anticipation of fans eagerly waiting to see how Marvel unravels this legacy story.
