Tanjiro Kamado has been through a lot as the Hashira Training arc continues. Tanjiro’s stamina and rapid movement training with former Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui and Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito are nothing compared to what he has gone through with Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, Serpent Hashira Obanai Iguro, and Wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa. However, it looks like the body pain and injuries mean nothing to him as the preview for the upcoming Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 6, titled The Strongest of the Demon Slayer Corps, shows Tanjiro finally reuniting with Inosuke and Murata.

Like the previous episodes, the anime has only released one still for Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 6, showing Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima in his full, strongest glory. Himejima is known for being the strongest demon slayer alive, and this can be seen from his gigantic size and muscular physique.

As a former priest, Buddhist monks may have inspired his training, as hinted by his praying gesture. The previous episode shows Inosuke reciting prayers under a waterfall, so Tanjiro may do the same as he comes to Himejima’s training ground with Zenitsu. For the first time since the new season began, fans will finally see Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke reunited and training together.

What happened in Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 5?

Warning: Major spoilers ahead. Read at your own risk.

Among the Hashiras who have trained Tanjiro, Iguro and Sanemi have shown strong distaste for Tanjiro. These two are against letting Nezuko live, which is probably why they have given Tanjiro a hard time. In Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 5, I Even Ate Demons, Iguro was jealous of Tanjiro after seeing him being friendly to Mitsuri.

After training him with swordsmanship, he had beaten Tanjiro several times, but the latter was still cool about it. Tanjiro next trained with Sanemi. Like Iguro, Sanemi didn’t mind beating Tanjiro relentlessly. As he tried to recover from his injuries and bruises, Tanjiro saw Genya trying to talk to his brother, who didn’t pay him attention.

Episode 5’s title was based on Genya’s confession that he ate demons to grow stronger, which didn't sit well with Sanemi. As Sanemi attacked Genya with all his might, Tanjiro came to the latter’s defense, sparking a fight between the two. Tanjiro knew he was no match for Sanemi’s strength and abilities, but he still bravely faced the Wind Hashira. He then asked Zenitsu to take Genya away from Sanemi. The fight ended with Tanjiro being sent to his next training after being told by the higher-ups that he couldn’t train with Sanemi anymore.

What to Expect from Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 6

Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 6 will see Tanjiro and Zenitsu starting their training with Himejima. The two will find themselves deep in the mountains and will see Inosuke already beginning his practice with other demon slayers, like Murata. So, aside from Inosuke, the new episode will also see Tanjiro reuniting with his other ally, Murata.

You can read the Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 6 synopsis below:

After overcoming the training of Iguro and Sanemi, Tanjiro and Zenitsu head to Himejima's training grounds, which are said to be located deep in the mountains. After a long-awaited reunion with Inosuke and Murata, who have already started training, Himejima's rigorous training begins.

The anime is based on Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga of the same title, which ran from February 2016 to May 2020. The manga has collected 23 tankobon volumes and has over 150 million copies in circulation, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time. Viz Media has licensed the manga in English.

Of course, with its success, it has been adapted into anime by Ufotable. The first season was released in 2019, the second in October 2021, and the third in April 2023. Each season comes with sequel and compilation films titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—The Movie: Mugen Train, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—To the Swordsmith Village, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—To the Hashira Training. The fourth season premiered in May 2024 and released five episodes.
