The first of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc trilogy of films is coming this year. Sony Pictures Entertainment and Crunchyroll officially announced the film trilogy after the conclusion of the TV anime adaptation of Hashira Training Arc (Season 4) last June. They acquired the rights for the movie trilogy's global theatrical release (excluding select Asian territories and Japan). Now, we have a release date and a new visual for the first film.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Release Date
The March 1 announcement revealed that the first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc film will be released in theaters in Japan on July 18, 2025. At the time of this writing, no further international release dates have been revealed, but we can expect an update about the film's release outside of Japan later this year.
Before the official confirmation of the first film's release date, CineStar, one of Germany's biggest cinema chains, listed the first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc film for a September 25, 2025 release. However, the official Demon Slayer accounts had not confirmed this date at this time, but if this is any indicator for the film's international release, it's likely that we can expect the film to release outside of Japan by late Summer or early Fall of this year.
Additionally, the March 1 event also announced that Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train will be getting a theatrical re-release in Japan with a 4K remaster prior to the release of the first Infinity Castle film for a five-week run, with screenings beginning on May 9. The rest of the dark fantasy anime series will also get special screenings, with each arc re-edited in "Kimetsu Theater" format and released each week from April 4, 2025 until the premiere of the Infinity Castle film.

Only a Crow Reveal teaser trailer has been released back in December 2024 as part of the announcement that the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc would officially begin in 2025.

What is Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle about?
The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle film trilogy will adapt the first of the two parts of the Final Battle arc of the popular manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge, which was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, publishing a total of 23 volumes. Viz Media licensed the manga series in English. After the Infinity Castle Arc, we can expect an anime adaptation of the Sunrise Countdown arc which should mark the conclusion of the series.
