The anime adaptation of author Daigo Murasaki and illustrator Kureta's Demon Lord 2099 (Maou 2099) light novel series is getting an English dub version. Today, Crunchyroll has announced the isekai anime's English dub cast and crew along with its release date. Earlier this month, Demon Lord 2099 premiered on Crunchyroll with English subtitles, and now, the streamer has announced that the English dub version will premiere on today, October 26.

Studio J.C. Staff is producing the animation of Demon Lord 2099, with Ryo Ando (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury assistant director) as the director, Yuichiro Momose (The Witch and the Beast) as the series composer, and Ryosuke Tanigawa (Reign of the Seven Spellblades chief animation director) as the character designer. Tatsuya Kato (Dr. Stone) is the anime's music composer, while Shiyui performed the opening theme song, Hollow, and sekai performed the ending theme song, Spira.
What is Demon Lord 2099 about?
Demon Lord 2099 anime is based on the cyberpunk reverse isekai light novels written by Daigo Murasaki and illustrated by Kureta. The science fantasy series was published in Fujimi Shobo's Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint in January 2021, and it received a manga adaptation by Kiiro Akashiro that was serialized online on Kadokawa Shoten's Shōnen Ace Plus from November 2021 to June 2022. The same website released a second manga adaptation, which began serialization in March 2023.
