Barely a month before Deadpool & Wolverine finally hits the big screen, Ryan Reynolds has dropped a new trailer for the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. Sure, the preview features some clips from the previous trailers, but it finally shows the appearance of Sabretooth. Of course, as Wolverine’s archnemesis, the trailer won’t be complete without featuring Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Sabretooth’s (Tyler Mane) face-off.

You can watch the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer below:

Reynolds shares the new Deadpool & Wolverine trailer on YouTube and teases the appearance of another character in his caption. “Don’t think we can add another 'and' to the title,” it reads. True enough, it gives a first look at Sabretooth's return over two decades before this particular version’s last appearance in Bryan Singer’s X-Men.

The preview begins with Wade Wilson (Reynolds) and Logan’s confrontation as he asks for the adamantium-clawed superhero’s help while some happy moments from his birthday celebration play out. Judging by Wade’s revelation, Wolverine knows how to save the world, as Deadpool reveals he’s about to lose everything he has ever cared about.

However, after hinting at a tragic event that may have happened to Wolverine in the past, he stresses that “he’s no hero.” Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen) then appears as Deadpool seems to be in the Time Variance Authority's (TVA) office, telling the Merc with a Mouth that Wolverine has let down his entire world. As Deadpool continuously convinces his frenemy, he says, “Well, my entire world needs you.”

From there, the action begins as the two start fighting off enemies in what looks like the Void. They, too, face the Minutemen in the middle of the forest. However, the battle doesn’t just end there. As Wolverine asks who he will fight next, Sabretooth appears.

“Ready to die?” he asks Wolverine.

But before their battle finally begins, with Wolverine unleashing his adamantium claws, Deadpool stops him and removes the swords from his body. “People have waited decades for this fight,” Deadpool says. “It’s not gonna be easy.":

He then instructs Wolverine on how to effectively take his half-brother down by shooting the devil, mounting him, and pounding him until he makes no sound and dies. But as this is Wolverine, he tells Deadpool to shut up. Sadly, before their much-awaited battle finally commences, the trailer ends.

What is Deadpool & Wolverine about?

Deadpool & Wolverine will see the TVA pulling Wade Wilson back to his superhero life after leaving his time as the mercenary Deadpool behind him. The world is in great danger, and the TVA needs Deadpool to save it. However, as he can’t do it alone, he will ask for the help of an unlikely ally, Wolverine, in a mission that will change the MCU's history.

You can read the Deadpool & Wolverine synopsis below:

Six years after the events of Deadpool 2 , Wade Wilson lives a quiet life, having left his time as the mercenary Deadpool behind him, until the Time Variance Authority (TVA)—a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline—pulls him into a new mission. With his home universe facing an existential threat, Wilson reluctantly joins an even more reluctant Wolverine on a mission that will change the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Fans last saw this version of Sabretooh in the 2000 X-Men, being defeated by Wolverine, Cyclops (James Marsden), Jean Grey (Famke Janssen), and Storm (Halley Berry) during the battle on Liberty Island. Though it remains to be seen if this is the same variant, fans are about to know more about it soon as Deadpool & Wolverine is set to hit the big screen on July 26, 2024.
