Deadpool & Wolverine’s release date is right around the corner, i.e., July 26, and we can’t help but wonder about what we’re in for. Since the movie’s announcement, fans have been curious to know more about the MCU X-Men movie and if we’ll get to see it anytime soon. So far, we know that the movie will bring back a variety of characters from Fox’s popular X-Men franchise.

With the help of trailers and set photos, the news of multiple actors reprising their roles in Deadpool & Wolverine was confirmed, but it looks like there are still many mysteries surrounding the eagerly-awaited film. However, from the looks of it, these secrets are not just limited to this movie. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kevin Feige gave a response regarding the matter.

When Feige was asked about the potential MCU X-Men movie, he didn’t give much of a comment. Instead, he said, "July 26 is really when it all starts, when Deadpool & Wolverine comes out." Unfortunately, this response won’t take us much far since this is general knowledge. It’s safe to say that fans are curious to see the stars jump from Fox to the MCU.

With this movie, the risks are also high, and one can only wait to see how Deadpool fits into the mainstream Marvel Cinematic Universe. Moreover, there are also talks of there being a multiverse-merging Avengers: Secret Wars movie right around the corner. Despite this, we have reason to believe that Feige might talk more on the topic soon.

Kevin Feige Might Speak More On X-Men At SDCC

Even though the director of Marvel avoided speaking about the future of X-Men now, this might change later this month at San Diego Comic-Con. It is taking place from July 25th to 28th and is usually home to major announcements and reveals, especially from Marvel Studios. This year especially, it’s coincidentally taking place quite close to Deadpool & Wolverine’s release date.

This makes SDCC the perfect opportunity for Marvel to go into the future of the franchise and make major announcements, just like they did in 2022. What exactly they plan to talk about at their panel is unclear at the moment, but we won’t be surprised if it’s something related to X-Men. In the meantime, we can just wait and hope that Marvel hasn’t given up on X-Men.

Deadpool & Wolverine has already generated a ton of hype simply with the help of its cast that includes Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind AI, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio. The movie also features Matthew Macfayden as Paradox, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Lewis Tan as Shatterstar, Rob Delaney as Peter, and Aaron Stanford as Pyro from the X-Men movie series.
In addition, there are rumors that Jennifer Garner will appear as Elektra.
