Deadpool & Wolverine Teaser Hints at the Arrival of Deadpool Corps

With the appearance of Lady Deadpool and Dogpool, it looks like the Deadpool Corps will be part of Deadpool & Wolverine.

The long wait for Deadpool & Wolverine will soon be over. The highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, the only Marvel film to be released this year, will hit the big screen in just over a week. The film has been dropping new teasers as of late, and the latest gives everyone an almost complete look at Lady Deadpool. However, aside from Lady Deadpool, the latest preview shows a number of Deadpool variants, seemingly hinting at the arrival of Deadpool Corps in the MCU.

Right after nearly giving a complete look at Lady Deadpool, several figures wearing the same costume as Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) are seen at the 14-second mark. It starts with someone wearing the Merc with a Mouth’s boots. This guy is later revealed to be donning a holster and is surrounded by three more individuals sporting the same suit as Wade Wilson.

By the looks of it, the hero with a gun is Cowboy Deadpool, and he will be accompanied by the Deadpool Corps in the threequel. As Dogpool later appears after them, this seems to suggest that these alternate versions of Deadpool oppose Wade and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), and they may be working for the villain, Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin). It is probably why only Dogpool is allowed to join the two, though Wolverine still refuses the idea.

You can watch the Deadpool & Wolverine teaser below:

What is the Deadpool Corps?

The Deadpool Corps was introduced in Victor Gischler and Paco Medina’s 2010 Prelude to Deadpool Corps #1. This group mainly consisted of Deadpool, Lady Deadpool, Kidpool, Dogpool, and Headpool, who came from alternate universes. Earth-616’s Deadpool founded the team after the Contemplator chose him to stop a cosmic entity known as the Awareness that devoured the Multiverse’s consciousness. The group even had their evil counterpart created by Dreadpool, the Deadpool of Cullen Bunn’s 2011 Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe.

As Deadpool & Wolverine has been promoting the appearance of Lady Deadpool and Dogpool, it is highly likely that all members of Deadpool Corps will also appear in the film. In fact, the threequel’s tie-in merch, like Funko Pops, already features Headpool, Babypool, and Kidpool. So, it may take no time for their appearance to be confirmed.

With the big cameos happening, more surprising characters may be seen in the threequel. True enough, the biggest crossover, which may even surpass Anthony and Joe Russo’s 2019 Avengers: Endgame, may happen in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled to release on July 26.
