When the first episode of Dan Da Dan anime kicked off last week, viewers already know that this is going to be one of the most fun and funniest series to watch this Fall 2024 anime season. The anime is an exciting blend of comedy, science fiction, and supernatural elements, and fans want to know what's next for the Turbo Granny-cursed Okarun and Momo, who just awakened her psychic powers after being abducted by aliens.
Today, the official website of the anime has revealed a new teaser trailer, preview stills, and official synopsis for Dan Da Dan Episode 2, which is titled That’s a Space Alien, Ain’t It?!, and it looks like Okarun and Momo's strange adventure isn't slowing down from here, and they will have to deal with a giant alien called "Flatwoods Monster". The synopsis also reveals that Okarun will make a "certain proposal" to Momo. We can expect more of the anime's unique animation style and fast-paced action in the next episode. The official synopsis of Dan Da Dan Episode 2 reads:
Okarun, cursed by the Turbo Granny, and Momo, who uses her newly awakened psychic powers to contain the Turbo Granny’s rampage, find themselves in a dire situation. As dawn breaks, the two temporarily take refuge at Momo’s house, but removing the talisman from the torii gate brings misfortune, and a giant alien known as the “Flatwoods Monster” appears before them. Faced with a new crisis, Okarun makes a certain proposal to Momo.
Dan Da Dan anime is directed by Fuga Yamashiro, with HIroshi Seko as the series composer, and Naoyuki Onda as the character designer. Science SARU is in producing its animation, and its Japanese voice cast members include:

Where to Watch Dan Da Dan Episode 2
New episodes of Dan Da Dan anime will be released every Friday on Crunchyroll and Netflix, so we can expect Episode 2 to premiere on Friday, October 11. The first season of the supernatural sci-fi comedy anime is listed with a total of 12 episodes, so we can expect 11 more new episodes to come out this Fall 2024 anime season. There is currently no confirmation of a second season yet, but given its popularity, it'll likely be renewed.
What is Dan Da Dan about?
Dan Da Dan anime is based on the romantic comedy / supernatural manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, which began serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service in 2021. As of July 2024, its chapters have been collected into 15 tankōbon volumes.
