Counter-Strike has remained popular for about two decades now, with millions of players playing it worldwide. Now that the beta for CS2 is out and is underway, the players who have played it are amazed at the game, and the fans who haven’t played it are eagerly waiting.
However, with its sequel, Valve is shooting for the stars and changing the game's dynamics. The Source 2 engine has completely overhauled the entire foundations of Counter-Strike. Till now, we have witnessed this through the game’s visuals.

The maps look absolutely life-like and astonishing and are more up to modern standards. Valve has mostly kept Inferno, which is among some of the most-played maps in Counter-Strike history, hidden except for a few glimpses in the trailers.
Counter-Strike 2 - Inferno
The CS2 community is losing its mind as PDylan, a Counter-Strike enthusiast, shared four images of Inferno on Twitter. These images feature the two bombsites, T Spawns and Church/Ruins/Construction.
However, “Ruins” and “Construction” might be thrown out since they have been present since the earliest versions of the map. Moreover, “Church” is now fully renovated with fascinating new lighting. The whole map has been entirely transformed with brand-new structures for buildings, with a completely redesigned fountain on B.

The most important change seen in the gameplay from pictures was to the graveyard on A site. This was the most powerful place in CS:GO, so now the wall covering the staircase is no longer there, leaving CTs or Ts with no hiding spots post-plant.
Fans’ Reaction To Inferno
Fans are excited about this change and have commented on the r/GlobalOffensive subreddit, posting comments like “i love it” and “this looks insane.” The popular Twitch Streamer, fl0m, has also reacted to this Inferno remake on his Twitter, saying, “Ok this is unreal.”
Some people are not huge fans of what they did to the A site and other parts of the map, but the overall reaction has been positive so far. Inferno cannot be played yet in the CS2 playtest since Nuke and Office are the ones in rotation right now. So, hold tight and wait for the release, which might be sometime in 2023.
