Good news, anime lovers! Crunchyroll’s anime library is now available on Prime Video after the two companies have announced their global distribution deal. The anime streaming website is now part of Amazon’s Prime Video Channels, though it comes with an extra cost. From Black Clover to Demon Slayer to Naruto and more, here’s how to watch the fan-favorite anime series.
Prime Video Channels are add-on services that come within the Prime Video app. The good thing is users don’t have to download anything or use another app. Subscribers have two options to avail of this service: Fan Plan and Mega Fan Plan, which cost $7.99 and $9.99 per month.
Though the two plans let the viewers watch their favorite anime series from Crunchyroll without any ad interruption, Megan Fan has additional perks. Users can download the series they want to watch later offline, along with “additional non-video benefits” that will be added “shortly.” New users can also avail of the seven-day free trial before they officially pay.
Alternatively, the 24/7 Crunchyroll linear channel is now available for free on Amazon Freeve, though with ads. It features the same anime catalog the streamer has, while the new and premium anime content will remain on its subscription and ad-supported video-on-demand services.

The Crunchyroll x Prime Video Collaboration
Crunchyroll has officially launched on Prime Video Channels in the U.S. today, and it will be available in Canada, Sweden, and the U.K. before the week ends. Additional territories will be added throughout 2024.
In a statement, Crunchyroll EVP of emerging business Terry Li said they’re looking forward to welcoming new fans in the anime community with their collaboration with Prime Video. Alternatively, Prime Video Channels head of content acquisition and partnerships Matt Cohen revealed that with the addition of Crunchyroll to their service, users can now easily watch their favorite anime on the app.
Crunchyroll offers about 24,000 hours of viewing, 46,000 episodes, and over 1,3000 series and movies. It holds the largest anime library, along with its numerous other features. With 50 new titles added for the fall anime season, this is probably the right time to subscribe.
