In this day and age, people can find anime almost anywhere, be it through streaming platforms or stores. While the medium is all around us, the anime fandom is also not the one to back down and is increasing its ranks every day with its numbers. From the looks of it, Walmart is also planning on entering the world of anime in a huge way, which will be accomplished through the help of the Crunchyroll team.

This update was released this week as Crunchyroll officially announced its relatively new partnership with Walmart. More than 2,400 Walmart locations will be stocking anime merch from Crunchyroll in a short period of time, so it’ll be much easier for fans to collect their fandom. In a new statement, the SVP of Global Commerce at Crunchyroll, Mitchel Berger, said:

"Crunchyroll's availability at Walmart will make anime more accessible than ever, inviting even more fans into this dynamic and exciting world. This launch reinforces our commitment to spreading the love of anime to an even wider audience, and we can't wait to see the joy it brings to fans this holiday season."

As per a new report, the Walmart locations participating in this partnership are going to open their very own Crunchyroll Fan Shops. Such areas include every item, from vinyl soundtracks to exclusive manga volumes and a lot of other merchandise. Moreover, Walmart also plans on stocking Crunchyroll’s physical subscription cards.

Through these cards, fans can purchase cards for 1-month, 3-month, and 12-month subscriptions before the holidays. So, if you want to gift an anime fan something for the holidays and can’t decide, these cards are the perfect answer to your worries. Walmart’s Crunchyroll Fan Shops are among some of the top ways in which anime has become a part of mainstream pop culture, filled with the best-selling goods.
