Boruto's 10th Anniversary Hub Opens With a Special Movie Tease and an October Countdown

The October 10 panel is treating a new animated Naruto film as the headliner, while the livestream wording still leaves room for a limited series.

Boruto is keeping its 10th anniversary celebration rolling, and the latest move comes straight from the source. The franchise has opened an official 10th Anniversary hub on the NARUTO OFFICIAL SITE, and the page is already teasing two unrevealed projects: a "special movie" and an "advertisement" marked for October.

The hub went live on October 1 in the United States (October 2 in Japan), and lays out the anniversary roadmap as a mix of confirmed releases and conspicuous coming-soon slots. Alongside nods to recent items like Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Volume 9, the page reserves space for the special movie and the October advertisement, with a promise that more announcements are on the way.

Both teases are deliberately vague, and the wording invites caution. The term "special movie" has appeared in past franchise promotions to describe short commemorative videos rather than theatrical features, so the slot could turn out to be a celebratory PV for the anniversary instead of a new film. The "advertisement" is even more open-ended, though with Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Volume 9 just released, a manga-related spot would be the most straightforward reading.

The timing is what has fans paying attention. The Naruto franchise takes over New York Comic Con on October 10 with its NARUTO: What's Next? panel, where new details on the upcoming Naruto limited TV anime series are set to be revealed live. With the Boruto hub's advertisement also landing this month, some fans are speculating the two could share the same window. If not, the next major stage is December's Jump Festa, where Shueisha traditionally unveils its biggest franchise updates of the year.

The context makes even a small reveal meaningful. The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime has been on hiatus since March 2023, and Studio Pierrot has confirmed that an anime adaptation of Two Blue Vortex is in production — though no release date, format, or first look has been announced. Against that backdrop, even a single poster or key visual would count as the most substantial Boruto anime news in years.

For a refresher on the milestone itself: the Boruto manga debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump on May 9, 2016, written by Ukyo Kodachi with art by Mikio Ikemoto. It later moved to the monthly V Jump in 2019, with Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto taking over the story. Its second part, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, launched in August 2023 and has now crossed its third anniversary, jumping three years ahead to a Konoha that has turned against its own hero.
