The second cour of the TV anime adaptation of Kouji Miura's romantic comedy sports manga series, Blue Box, started last month. The first cour broadcasted in the Fall 2024 anime season and ran for 13 episodes, and now, the official website of the sports/romance anime has revealed the preview for Episode 18, which is scheduled to premiere this Thursday, February 6. Studio Telecom Animation Film is producing the animation of the series.
According to the official website of the anime, the English-translated title of Blue Box Episode 14 is I Know. The site also unveiled preview stills, an official synopsis, and details about the next episode's staff. The preview reminds us that despite the focus on romance and relationships in recent episodes, Blue Box is still a sports anime. The official synopsis shows that Episode 18 will focus on Taiki showing his determination in the practice match with Sachigawa High School.

Blue Box TV anime was previously confirmed to run for 25 episodes in 2 consecutive cours, and the first cour started in the Fall 2024 anime season, so we can expect 8 more new episodes to release this Winter 2025 anime season. Netflix is currently streaming the series worldwide, and new episodes will be released on the service weekly.

What is Blue Box about?
Blue Box anime is based on the romantic comedy sports manga series by Koji Miura, which began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in April 2021. As of August 2024, the series has its chapters compiled in 16 tankoubon volumes. The manga series was originally a 2020 one-shot.
