Red’s story will continue in Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside Season 2. After moving to a borderland town and opening an apothecary, Red, whose original name is Gideon, lives happily with his sister, Rooty, and girlfriend, Lit. But not everything will be peaceful and happy here, as Red and the rest of the hero party are up for another epic adventure. The anime has released a key visual featuring four new characters and revealed additional cast members.
The new key visual for Banished from the Hero’s Party Season 2 puts Red and Lit in the front and center, surrounded by the original and new characters. On Lit’s side, Rooty, Tisse, and Yarandorara can be seen as they’re about to return in the next season to continue their journey.
Alternatively, on Red’s side, new characters are about to be introduced, led by Van, another hero and the eighth prince of the Kingdom of Flamberg, who became lonely for the rest of his life after the Demon King’s army destroyed his homeland. Next is Van’s sidekick, Lavender, a fairy from the hero’s party who possesses great magical power despite having a small body.
Besides Red is Cardinal Lube, the highest-ranking official of the Holy Church and Van’s guardian. But despite being a priest, he’s worldly and has great ambitions. Lastly, Esta is a masked knight and the mercenary of the hero’s party. Real name Escalata, she’s looking after Van, thanks to her great fighting experience after defeating one of the Four Heavenly Kings of the Demon King’s Army. However, Van’s innocence troubles her.

What is Banished from the Hero’s Party Season 2 about?
Based on the light novel series written by Zappon and illustrated by Yasumo, Banished from the Hero’s Party Season 2 will be covering the novel’s Volume 5. Here, Red plans to propose to Lit and wants to find the perfect stone for her engagement ring. Hence, he will be heading to the Wall at the End of the World.
However, Yarandorara returns to Zoltan and looks for Lit. Her arrival comes unexpectedly after she causes trouble and misunderstanding. So, from a simple adventure to completing Lit’s engagement ring, his plan to propose becomes a struggle to survive.

A ring’s the thing Red is prepared to take the next step with Rit and wants to propose. Determined to find the perfect stone for the engagement ring, he plans a trip to a mountain range known as the Wall at the End of the World. Meanwhile, a former member of the Hero’s party, Yarandrala, shows up in Zoltan looking for Rit. Although she causes a bit of trouble after a misunderstanding, her presence may be fortuitous as all is not well up on the peaks. What started as a simple excursion for a ring quickly becomes a struggle for survival with all life on the mountains hanging in the balance.
Banished from the Hero’s Party Season 2 is scheduled for release in January 2024. With the arrival of new characters and Yarandorara’s return, the new season is definitely a must-see.
