Jennifer Lopez is back on Netflix. After putting everyone in awe with her incredible fighting scenes as a fierce assassin in The Mother, the pop icon will take her battle to another level—in the galaxy. The streamer has dropped the official teaser for its new sci-fi movie, Atlas, showing J.Lo suiting up for an epic space battle to fight a traitorous android.

The Atlas teaser opens with a gripping scene where Lopez, portraying the role of Atlas Shepherd, a data analyst on a mission to save the world with the aid of AI, is seen panting and catching her breath. As she discovers blood on her hands, she realizes she's trapped in a spaceship and desperately calls for help. The teaser then transitions to stunning yet perilous landscapes before revealing her back on earth in a futuristic world.
From there, an epic war begins, as a montage of scenes features a series of stunning visual effects. As the future of humanity lies in Lopez’s hands, the mecha she’s piloting crashes down on an unknown planet as she calls for anyone who can hear her.
Netflix has also unveiled the key visual for Atlas. It shows Lopez inside her mecha suit, looking anxious while surrounded by her robotic enemies.

What is Atlas about?
Written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite and directed by Brad Peyton, Atlas follows the story of the eponymous character whose mission is to capture a renegade robot despite her deep distrust of artificial intelligence. Interestingly, she also has a past with this villainous android—a mystery about to be unveiled. But things will take a major turn as her only hope to save the future lies in the AI themselves.
