The development team of Apex Legends has unveiled some massive changes to the game's Ranked system for Season 18. The game is known for introducing new content and updates with each season ever since its release in 2019. Even though regular updates and modifications to characters are really important, other balancing changes also play a huge role in Apex Legends.

Since the release of Season 17, many players have complained that there is some serious issue with Ranked. The system’s critics have argued that ranking up has become a piece of cake for Apex Legends players. According to them, many players have been easily climbing up to the Masters rank, making the title seem like it’s nothing special.

This led to players complaining and asking the developers to upgrade the Ranked system and restore balance, and it looks like they have been all ears. On July 19, Respawn Entertainment announced some significant changes that will take place to the Ranked system. These changes are designed to fix what players have been complaining about and will make it much more challenging to climb the competitive ladder.

First on the agenda is the distribution of Ladder Points, which will be nerfed, and much greater Ladder Point penalties will be imposed for losses at Diamond Tier and higher. These changes have been designed to lessen the number of players that will get to the Masters tier and balance out the rankings.

Not only this, but fans will also see some new changes to the Ranked matchmaking to make sure that only highly-skilled players can compete in the higher ranks. Respawn explained that most of the issues with Ranked only affect players with higher tiers. So, the upcoming changes will fix the issue while the rest of the system will work as it’s supposed to.

It can be quite a challenging task to manage such a complicated system like Ranked, and problems are bound to come up. But since Apex Legends’ release, the developers have been working hard to respond to the issues and update the game’s systems and features.

With these significant changes coming in Season 18 this August, Ranked is set to see some epic rebalancing. Climbing the ladder to the top tiers is going to be a real challenge for players.

Apex Legends is available to play on Android, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and PS5.
