After releasing the animated music video for Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou, MAPPA Studio has dropped the final trailer for its upcoming original anime movie. A few days after its nearing release, the production company gives a glimpse into a love story that will change the balance of the world and try to destroy it.
Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou is originally produced by MAPPA, which is also behind the animations of some of the best anime today, like Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Yuri on Ice, to name a few. It’s the second directorial stint of Mari Okada after her 2018 fantasy film Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms, produced by P.A. Works.
The trailer sees the start of the explosion of the steelwork company. As expected, everyone panics but chooses to stay and not change, hoping everything will be back to normal. But the blast has changed everything, and the sky is even splitting.
From there, Masamune meets Mutsumi. The two go to the steelworks’ fifth blast furnace and meet a feral girl named Itsumi, who lives there. As these three meet, the world’s balance breaks, while their love starts its destruction.
