Eman Esfandi, who plays the role of Ezra Bridger in the popular Disney+ series Ahsoka, recently talked about his role since his epic Star Wars debut. Ezra’s introduction into the Star Wars series was among some of the most eagerly-awaited moments in Ahsoka’s whole run, with the appearance of Lars Mikkelsen’s Grand Admiral Thrawn being a close second.

Unfortunately, due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes, the actors didn’t get the chance to publicly talk about any of their works that were recently released or are about to come out. He was only able to make vague reactions on X (formerly known as Twitter) about his character receiving an emoji and Season 1's ending.

The official Star Wars X account recently posted a new video in which Eman Esfandi discusses Ezra’s journey for the first time in Ahsoka and his link to the Jedi. The actor describes the hero as “so smart” and “so gifted” while claiming that he "already felt so connected to Ezra." You can read his full response below:

I take Ezra Bridger as a real person, and he's so smart, and he's so gifted. He's grown into himself a lot more. He's become a much stronger Jedi, but even more so, he's become more of a family member amongst his team and crew of rebels.

Esfandi also says, “Because I already felt so connected to Ezra and felt like he was there whenever I needed him. I just felt that inspiration, but yeah, Ezra, young kid, with a lot of heart."

Where does Ezra's story go from here?

In the finale of Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 1, we see Eman Esfandi’s Ezra Bridger return to his home galaxy and once again be reunited with Chopper and Hera. But what happens now? There’s a high chance he’ll get a major role when it comes to fighting against Thrawn’s evil plans.

Ezra might just pull all the stops when it comes to finding a way back to Ahsoka and Sabine, both of whom were left on Peridea. Reuniting with a few old allies that he hasn’t seen for long might also be a priority for the character, like his friend Zeb Orrelios. However, we aren’t sure if we’ll see all of this on screen for a rumored Season 2, which Lucasfilm hasn’t confirmed yet.
