Aaron Taylor-Johnson is on a roll with several high-profile projects but there's one role that people are most excited about. Several reports have pointed out that the Kraven the Hunter star has already been chosen to be the next James Bond. So is Johnson going to be the new 007? The Bullet Train actor has finally addressed the rumors and his response is rather intriguing.
Earlier this year, several reports revealed that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is one of the frontrunners for the role of James Bond following Daniel Craig's retirement from the franchise. Not surprisingly, people agreed that the Kick-Ass star would be perfect as the MI6 agent. However, Johnson himself never addressed the speculations, choosing to stay quiet about his involvement in the next 007 film.
So is Aaron Taylor-Johnson playing the next James Bond? The Avengers: Age of Ultron star spoke to Esquire where he was asked about his next role and interestingly, Johnson played coy on whether he will be the new 007.
“I’ve spent two years making Kraven. So all that hard work we put into trying to get that to where it is—that’s where I’m at right now,” he said. Johnson later added, “I just focus on the things I can have in my hands right now. What’s in front of me right now.”
It's an intriguing response since Johnson didn't confirm whether he is the next James Bond, but he also didn't deny his involvement in the new 007 film. For now, the casting is not yet official. On the other hand, people are already expecting an announcement about the new James Bond before the end of the year. Make sure to check this page for more updates on this story.
