Suu Morishita’s manga, A Sign of Affection, finally gets its anime adaptation. Produced by Ajia-do Animation Works, the series will soon hit the small screen, and the second trailer has been released. But aside from showing the lead characters Yuki Itose and Itsuomi Naki, the preview also reveals major details about the new anime, such as its theme song and release date. You can watch the preview below:
The A Sign of Affection trailer begins with Itsuomi looking at Yuki in a bar while they’re with two other friends, instantly making her blush. The next scene shows the two standing together, but Yuki can’t help but get lost when she looks into Itsuomi’s eyes. She’s later seen with Rin, who often gives her advice about Itsuomi, knowing she's aware that Yuki has feelings for him.
However, Ashiki tells his childhood friend Yuki that she has to stop seeing Itsuomi. As this angers Yuki, she leaves Ashiki and goes on her own. The preview then shows the other characters in the series, like Kokoro, Itsuomi’s high school classmate, and Emma, another high school classmate who likes Itsuomi.
But when Yuki sees Emma wrapping her arms around Itsuomi, she can’t help but get hurt. From there, the opening theme, Yuki no Oto by Novelbright, plays in the background. As the preview ends, it shows Itsuomi and Yuki getting closer and making a pinky promise.

What is A Sign of Affection about?
A Sign of Affection follows the story of Yuki Itose, a deaf college student who’s into friends and fashion. A chance meeting on a train leads her to Itsuomi, resulting in having a serious crush on him. However, as Yuki only communicates through sign language and her phone and isn’t used to English, she nearly panics when Itsuomi asks him for help.
Alternatively, Itsuomi is known for being a charming globetrotter. But despite speaking three languages, he never knows how to communicate with Yuki. As this first meeting leads to a date night, Yuki’s friend, Ashiki, is afraid she may end up hurting herself.
