Today, triumphantly and sadly I found an amazing tutorial on a filter in Final Cut Pro called color corrector 3-way.

Why am I sad? If I found this filter earlier, it would have saved me the use of up to 6 filters that I had to use in my video for Slick Rock. Ultimately, a lot of time and effort could be used for other things. Also, the filter does a much better job by itself than all of the filters I used combined.

I am happy to be able to find this great little trick in FCP and look forward to it’s many uses in the future.

One of the many things that it can do is eliminate all color except for a specific key. I made my own test of this effect in the following video:
